Here at Events at Burntwood Rugby Club, we want to make using our facilities and services as simple as possible, and take the stress out of planning your event, whatever the occasion or time of year.

Our website is full of useful information and details, please have a look around. Below are a selection of the frequently asked questions, and the answers, which may help you.

Is it members only or can anyone visit Burntwood Rugby Club?

Our venue is open to the public all year round, rugby supporters or not. Drop in for a beverage and a chat, whether you would prefer to sit inside by the roaring fire or outside on the patio area to admire the surrounding views of Chasewater Country Park.

How do we get there?

We are conveniently located just off the A5 in Burntwood, with close links to the M6, M6 Toll, M5 and M42. If you are travelling by train there are rail connections nearby at Cannock, Lichfield and Rugeley. Our postcode for your sat nav is WS7 3PH and we are on The Sportsway.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Thursday 9am – 1pm and 5pm – 9pm. On Fridays we are open all day from 9am – 11pm. On Saturdays and Sundays we are open 11am – 11pm.

Please feel free to call us or visit us during these hours. If your event falls outside of these hours, we will open our venue especially for you.

Is there parking on site?

Yes. There is ample free, secure parking directly on site.

Do you have disabled facilities?

Yes. We have a lift and accessible restrooms.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes. Free WiFi is available to all our guests and visitors.

Are dogs allowed?

With many people walking their furry friends in the surrounding countryside we welcome well-behaved dogs to the outside patio area where we have water bowls and tethering available. Dogs are welcome in the bar if on a leash and well-behaved.

Do you have any equipment for events?

We have TV screens to display your presentations and microphones for speakers and we can also set up before your arrival.

Who can hire the venue?

Absolutely anyone looking for premium facilities at great value prices, whatever the occasion or time of year.

Whether you are planning a wedding, birthday, christening, baby shower, charity event, anniversary, funeral wake, business event, or you are part of a local group, we have the perfect facilities and services for you. Private, personal and corporate customers hire our venue throughout the year.

How do I know which room is right for me?

We have two stunning function suites available to hire- The Nailers Suite and Harry’s Bar, plus our magnificent Outdoor Marquee which is available in the first week of July.

Come and have a look at our beautiful facilities or discuss your requirements with us to decide which room(s) would work best for your event.

Is there a restriction on numbers?

The Nailers Suite holds up to 110 guests with the inclusion of the balcony space.

Harry’s Bar caters for up to 150 guests with the balcony.

The Outdoor Marquee can be hired for up to 200 guests during the first week of July.

Can I hire out the whole Club for larger parties?

Of course. Hire out both The Nailers Suite and Harry’s Bar to cater for up to 250 guests.

If your event is during the first week of July, there is the option to hire the Outdoor Marquee as well, adding another 200 guest spaces.

Why should I use Events at Burntwood Rugby Club?

Our facilities are clean and contemporary with plenty of choice for room hire, and all bookings include a staffed and fully-stocked bar.

We offer free room hire for a variety of occasions, and exceptional rates for others.

We can also save you time, money, stress and worry by working with you from start to finish- decorating the room, presenting food and beverages, and tidying up for you afterwards.

Is there an outdoor space?

Yes. We have a patio area accessed from the bar, or from the side of our venue, we are surrounded by the beautiful Chasewater Country Park, so our outdoor space offers magnificent views- perfect for photograph opportunities.

Am I eligible for free room hire?

If you are planning an evening party, whatever the occasion, a charity fundraiser or a funeral wake, you can take advantage of free room hire.

Should your event not be eligible for free room hire, then our rates are of exceptional value.

Why do I have to pay a refundable deposit?

All bookings require a refundable deposit to be paid. If there are no breakages or damages from your event, the full amount will be refunded.

Can we use our own caterers, suppliers or entertainment for events?

You are more than welcome to use your own caterers for your event, or you can leave it with us to prepare and serve it for you. We can also provide tablecloths and cutlery should you wish, then clear everything away afterwards.

We can recommend suppliers to you if you would like, and you can book and use any of your own entertainment at our venue for any of your events.

Do you have a wedding license?

We don’t have a wedding license, so you will need to contact your local registry office to sort out the legalities of your marriage. We can host wedding ceremonies and receptions here though.

If you are a rugby supporter, come and experience a match day at the Club and sample a selection of fine wines, cask ales, premium lagers and beers while watching the game.
